about

A work in progress based on the exploits of an unnamed acquaintance while spending time in Europe

lyrics

As he walked out one evening
On a Belgian street in spring
He faced the world so bold true
And wondered what the night would bring
A Wonder of young manhood
Lost in European flair
He drew night air into their lungs
And then began to sing

Chorus Fair ladies, fair ladies come sit beside me do
We can have a little chat maybe have a little drink or two
Fair ladies, fair ladies if anything goes wrong
We’ll be up the Edith when the morning comes along

He first met Lilly Luxembourg
And then he met French Lou
He passed on German Hildegarde
And a Guatemalan girl called Sue.
But with the lovely Linda from Liverpool
Things happened awful swift
And while their knees were all a tremble
They shared a little gift

Chorus

Monday through to Tuesday it was small as small could be
Wednesday through to Thursday it grew so alarmingly
By Friday it had a face and two little eyes a blinking
On Saturday it opened up it’s mouth and then began a singing.
What did it sing?

Chorus

And this what the doctor said

Chorus

un deux trois allons-y
